No prior knowledge required. Meet new people in a creative setting, learn a new skill and take home something useful made by your very own hands!
This fun half day workshop provides a hands on introduction to the silkscreen process.
Your tutor Arthur will work with you to create a pack of wrapping paper by overlaying patterns in up to four layers. Working in a relaxed and informal atmosphere, as a group of four we will work collaboratively mixing colour, selecting patterns from my pre-prepared screens, printing and learning to overlay images in registration.
This session provides great practice of the mechanics of screen printing. You will finish the day with your very own pack of 10 sheets of A2 size hand made wrapping paper. It will also provide a good basis for continuing your screenprinting journey at further sessions, the dates of which will soon be announced.
This workshop runs from 1pm - 3.30pm. There will be tea and biscuits provided.
The studio is located down a pretty lane 8 minutes walk from Corpusty village centre where you will find a shop and pub. The river Bure is a 5 minute walk from our garden, a great spot to take lunch if the weather's nice, if not there's plenty of space in the studio to sit and take break.
We have space for four cars on our driveway.
